Glass artist, Sue Scott, now lives in Catalina, Arizona, but her fascination with glass began when she was a child living in Spangdahlem, Germany. That was when she first watched wide-eyed as glass-blowers created whimsical animals from heated glass. Her childhood love of the art led her to the hobby of collecting glass art and then, three years ago, to taking her first glass art class. She has been creating her own artwork ever since.

Sue is inspired by nature and the things she sees all around her. Through this inspiration she creates glass art of all types; pictures, plates, bowls, clocks, beads, pendants, earrings and yard-art. She uses a variety of techniques in her work, but her favorite is
"fusing", a technique which involves layers of glass made one by firing in a kiln. Because Sue often incorporates broken glass recycled from fellow artists Linda Allyn and Richard Hornby of Fire Ranch Glass in Catalina, each piece is unique....a one-of-a-kind fusion of glass, fire, and imagination.
